Care

Temperature

Moderately warm. Minimum of 16 degrees Celsius- maximum of 27 degrees Celsius. Preferably not too warm, a spot close to the window is better than placing it too close to a heater. The lower the temperatures, the dryer these plants have to be kept. The plants usually tolerate dry air really well.

Light

Plenty of light. Place bright light, full sun in winter, preferably in a window south facing.

Water

The plant has succulent leaves and does not require a lot of water. Only water when the soil feels dry. The soil can be kept lightly moist during summer, but in winter the plants only require small amounts of water. To give water every fortnight is sufficient. When you see the leafs start hanging down, especially in winter, too much water has been given.

Food

The plant pot usually contains enough nutrients at time of purchase. A small amount of liquid plant food can be added every three weeks in the growth period.

The Powerplants Calandiva is a trendy plant that suits every home and interior design. It is one of the few plants that stay beautiful with little care. The plants will keep for a long time, summer and winter (no frost).

It is a flowering house plant that is also suitable for a deck or balcony.

Outside the colour of the leafs and flowers will get more intense. The old finished flowers don’t need to be removed, Mother Nature looks after that and new flower buds will spontaneously appear.
